Forests Regen Climate Initiative ("FRCI") is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of its content creators, partners, and the public. This Copyright Policy governs the use, reproduction, and distribution of copyrighted material associated with FRCI's forest and climate non-profit initiative.

1. Definition of Copyright

Copyright refers to the exclusive legal rights granted to the creator of original works, including, but not limited to, creative, artistic, and intellectual works, whether published or unpublished. Copyright protects the expression of ideas and ensures that authors and creators have control over and can receive recognition and financial benefits from their creations.

2. Copyright Ownership

FRCI respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same from all users of our materials. FRCI holds the copyright to all original content created by FRCI employees and contractors unless otherwise specified or agreed upon in writing. Any content created by third parties and shared on FRCI platforms must be properly credited and adhere to the respective author or creator's copyright terms.

3. Permissible Use and Copyright Licensing

FRCI's copyrighted materials, which include, but are not limited to, articles, reports, photographs, videos, graphics, logos, trademarks, audio recordings, and software applications, are protected by applicable copyright laws. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, users may only use FRCI's copyrighted materials for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as education, research, and awareness, provided that:

- The copyright notice, author attribution, trademark symbol, or proprietary rights notice that accompanies the material is not removed or altered.

- The material is not modified, distorted, or adapted from its original form, unless permitted in writing by FRCI.

- The material is not used in a way that suggests FRCI endorses or sponsors the user's activities or beliefs without express permission.

- The user complies with any additional terms and conditions associated with specific copyrighted materials or usage licenses.

4. Unauthorized Use and Copyright Infringement

Any unauthorized use of FRCI's copyrighted materials that violates this Copyright Policy or infringes upon our intellectual property rights is strictly prohibited. Examples of unauthorized use include, but are not limited to:

- Reproducing, distributing, or publicly displaying FRCI's copyrighted materials without proper authorization.

- Modifying or altering FRCI's copyrighted materials without permission.

- Using FRCI's copyrighted materials for commercial purposes without obtaining a written license agreement from FRCI.

- Claiming ownership or authorship of FRCI's copyrighted materials without authorization.

5. Copyright Infringement Notification

FRCI takes copyright infringement seriously and will respond to clear and specific notifications of alleged copyright infringement. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide FRCI's designated Copyright Agent with the following information:

- A description of the copyrighted work(s) in question.

- The location (URL) of the infringing material on FRCI's platforms.

- Sufficient contact details to allow FRCI to reach you, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.

- A statement in good faith that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information provided in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

6. Modifications to the Copyright Policy

FRCI reserves the right to modify or update this Copyright Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on FRCI's platforms. Continued use of FRCI's copyrighted materials after any such modifications shall constitute your consent to the updated Copyright Policy.

By using FRCI's copyrighted materials, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this Copyright Policy. Failure to comply with this policy may result in legal consequences and the loss of permissions granted by FRCI.
